4 million chickens died at the Chornobaivka poultry farm

11.04.2022

Chornobaivka, Kherson region.

Europe’s largest poultry farm has lost almost 4 million chickens to thirst and starvation during the war with Russia. The birds died when Russian troops disabled a local power plant, causing the automated bird feeding system to shut down.

The workers tried to organize the delivery of feed, but trucks with cargo fell under Russian shelling. As a result, the bird food supply was cut off for the safety of the people.

The factory decided to distribute 1.45 million eggs and the remaining 90 thousand chickens to employees of the enterprise and neighbouring farms.
