There is no significant slowdown in the offensive of Russian troops in the Bakhmut area, which was discussed on the eve of analytics from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), but the enemy continues to shell residential areas of the city.

“There is no such slowdown. This may indicate that the enemy is pulling up its reserves, since their losses are really huge. At the same time, the Russians, despite the regrouping of forces before the next attacks, continue to fire at Bakhmut itself. Almost 60% of the infrastructure has been completely or partially destroyed,” said Pavel Kirilenko, head of the UIA. According to him, out of the 84,000 population of Bakhmut, about 10,000 residents remain in the city, the evacuation continues, but this figure is unlikely to decrease significantly, since people provided with metal furnaces refuse to leave.
