Death toll rises in Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih hotel

A 60-year-old woman who sustained severe injuries in the ballistic missile strike on a hotel in Kryvyi Rih has died, bringing the total number of fatalities to five. Earlier, a 43-year-old man died in the hospital, while the bodies of two men and one woman were recovered from the rubble.


The attack occurred on the night of March 6. Just before the strike, volunteers from a humanitarian organization, including Ukrainian, American, and British citizens, had checked into the hotel. They survived because they managed to reach a shelter in time.


A total of 32 people were injured, including a 13-year-old girl and a 17-year-old teenager. Twenty-two remain hospitalized with moderate to severe injuries.


The strike also damaged 14 apartment buildings, a post office, a cultural institution, 12 stores, and around 20 vehicles.
