Kherson region
On May 9, Ukrainian football referee Iryna Petrova was kidnapped near her house in Nova Kakhovka captured by russian troops.
According to witnesses, at about 4:00 p.m., unknown drunk men in civilian clothes with St. George ribbons approached her. The woman was taken by force to the police station, there is no information about her whereabouts at the moment.
After the occupation of Kherson region by the russians, Iryna was an active participant of pro-Ukrainian rallies, to which she came out with posters "New Kakhovka is Ukraine." Apparently, the "new government" came across Petrova due to a denunciation. A version was also voiced that Iryna refused to judge the football tournament organized in her city by the russian authorities the day before.
