Having failed to occupy Chernihiv, the Russian army took revenge on the dead and it destroyed the graves of the ATO (Anti-Terrorist Operation) soldiers.

A broken chapel, explosion craters and tombstones destroyed by explosions - this is what the Yatsevo cemetery in Chernihiv looks like after shelling by the Russian troops.

In this cemetery, on the central alley, Chernihiv citizens buried their fellow countrymen ATO soldiers, even before the full-scale Russian invasion. But, having failed to occupy the city, the Russian army tried to take revenge even on the dead.
