In the village of Studenok, Izyum district, a fire caused by Russian shelling destroyed more than 70% of the houses

Studenok, Kharkiv region

The fire came to Kharkiv Oblast from Donetsk in the first days of September. About 5,000 hectares were covered by the fire. The fire line reached 7 km. The forest and villages were burning.

More than 150 houses were destroyed by fire in the village of Studenok. People were evacuated, but after the fire was brought under control, most returned.

In one of the photos, a resident of the village Lydia Prokopenko looks at the ruins of her house and looks for surviving things. She says her house burned for about a day.
