In these frames, the Svyatogorsk railway station, what was left of it after the Russian occupation

29.04.2023

Svyatogorsk, Donetsk region

A year and a half ago, a train stopped here, following one of the longest routes in Ukraine, overcoming 1,476 kilometers from Bakhmut to Lvov.

Bakhmut is now destroyed to the ground - so is the Svyatogorsk railway station.

While active hostilities continue nearby, it is too early to say when at least suburban trains will be able to resume traffic to Svyatogorsk. The station, which has been operating since 1911, has turned into a ghost station.

The Russian horde destroys everything it can reach, steals from local residents even such familiar things as railway communication.
