The russian army opened fire on the village at 9:00, explosions were heard for more than 40 minutes. The 74-year-old pensioner was at home at the time. A howitzer shell killed her in her own kitchen, as a result of the hit, the brick dwelling was destroyed to the ground.

The shelling also destroyed three garages and damaged five more houses.
