Journalist and blogger Oksana Gaydar died along with her mother Lydia during the shelling of the village of Shevchenkovo, Brovarsky district, by russian artillery between March 11 and 12.
Oksana Gaydar was known for her publications on historical topics and messages on social media under the pseudonym Ruda Pani.
In them, she sharply exposed the imperial ambitions of the russian government and its desire to establish control over Ukraine at any cost. Moreover, Oksana wrote her caustic essays and comments from Moscow where she lived with her husband and son. With the beginning of a large-scale russian invasion, she returned to Ukraine to be with her mother.
