Rubizhne, Luhansk region
The industrial city is destroyed, there are no surviving buildings, and many houses cannot be restored. There are cemeteries in the yards. Before the war, more than 60,000 people lived in Rubizhne.
Today, local residents are divided into three categories: evacuees to safe cities in Ukraine or abroad; those who were deported to russia or to the occupied territories; those who are still held hostage by the kadyrovtsy (kadyrov’s followers) and live in the basements of the city.
