The mayor of Irpin, liberated on March 28 by Ukrainian troops, spoke about Russian war crimes in the city. The Russian military killed the civilians of Irpin with particular cruelty.

«A lot of people died from their mines and shellings. A lot of people were shot by the rashists. On Pushkinska Street, on Liermontova Street, they shot girls and women, and then drove over them in tanks», Oleksandr Markushyn said in an interview with foreign journalists.
