Russian troops fired on the civilian drycargo Maltese vessel "Azburg"

russian troops began to shell civilian vessels in the port of Mariupol from the tank. At 22:40, they fired on the “Azburg” civilian drycargo vessel (the flag of Dominicana, the shipowner from Malta) staying at the dock 16 of the Mariupol seaport.


One of the crew members was injured, a fire started in the engine room. As of now, several foreign vessels remain in the water area. The crews’ members are scared, they run from one ship to another trying to save their lives.


According to the Ukrainian Naval Forces, now there are 5 foreign ships in the Mariupol port under the flag of Malta, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Liberia with crews on board.


Among the crew members there are citizens of Bulgaria, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Russia.
