Third mass grave found near Mariupol

26.04.2022

Mariupol, Donetsk region

Sattelite images from Planet have revealed a third mass grave near the besieged Mariupol, which was ruined and partially occupied by the Russian troops.

200-meter-long trenches serving as mass burial sites appeared on the territory of a cemetery in the village of Stary Krym, 5 km away from Mariupol.

Judging by the pictures, the first 60-70-meter trenches on the territory of the Stary Krym cemetery appeared on March 24th, after it was captured by Russians on March 10th.

Two weeks later, on April 7th, there are changes in the pictures: the burial site has increased in size and a part of trenches has already been covered with earth. The image taken on April 24th shows new trenches and the length of the mass grave has increased to over 200 m.
