Sergei Novosad, 49, was shot dead with a machine gun, the Russians put the muzzle in his mouth. Then there was another line in the body. Lyubov Novosad, the 78-year-old woman who adopted Sergei, was killed with a single shot to the head, most likely after her son. Her body lay over his, as did the old woman's two sticks, without which she could not move. Why they were brought here from their home across the road and shot is unknown.
